Thursday March 27, 2025 4:00pm - 5:30pm EDT

Desecrated Sacred: Reclaiming Abandoned Spaces in Our Communities and Ourselves
Thursday March 27, 2025 4:00pm - 5:30pm EDT
As we strive to unpack the shadows of our culture, one that persists in pagan communities is a purity ethos that holds wild places–grottos, groves, and other ‘untouched’ places– as more sacred than humanized ones, and replicates dominant culture patterns of simultaneously devaluing and worshiping the foreign or distant Other. In this time of upheaval and consumerism, there is a counter call: in guerrilla gardening and reclaiming of the commons, to upcycling, and graffiti arts. The “negative” spaces of abandoned buildings, irradiated landscapes and other edge spaces offer a possibility for generational healing: how can we reclaim as sacred that which we have abandoned, trashed, or poisoned in ourselves and the places we belong?

Heathenry as a Magical Practice
Thursday March 27, 2025 4:00pm - 5:30pm EDT
Heathenry has long been accused of lacking magic. Many Heathens themselves will say “We don’t do magic.” This class will argue against those claims and set a framework for a rich magical practice based in Norse Paganism. This class will pull examples of Heathen Magic from the historical record, examine those examples and walk through ways to incorporate them into a daily practice that can be as magical as the practitioner chooses. We will start with the existing medieval sources, move on through history and look at post medieval Icelandic practices, and then modern practices that fit into our Heathen context.

Liberating Spirituality
Thursday March 27, 2025 4:00pm - 5:30pm EDT
If there is one trend manifesting in spirituality worldwide, it is the rise of authoritarian, high control religious groups. Less noticed, but just as vital, are the growing currents of those who call for justice and shared liberation. In “Liberating Theology”, you will learn what the core ideas are behind this movement and how they align with broader Pagan, Witch, and Heathen values. In this class, you will engage with these questions through general and small group discussions with your fellow participants. Together, we will explore the roots of liberated spirituality, how it can empower practitioners, and become the foundation for creating truly free and safe communities.

Sacred Spaces and Divine Faces for Modern Life
Thursday March 27, 2025 4:00pm - 5:30pm EDT
Magical books and teachers present us with the lore of naturally sacred spaces: the Crossroads, the Seashore, the Cemetery, the Clearing in the Grove…these types of places are recognizable to most magicians, Pagans, and NeoPagans as places of power. But what about airports? Train stations? Street lamps? What modern spaces hold natural characteristics which give them an affinity with magic and how can they fit into our sacred and magical experiences? Just as there are places that didn’t exist when most concepts of magic were developing, the world is full of new technologies and experiences as well. How do we explore their divine and spiritual components to understand what powers rule over things like cars and computers? In this class we will explore the magic of the modern and learn how to explore traditional associations so we can build new ones.

The History, Magick and Application of The Four Holy Creatures
Thursday March 27, 2025 4:00pm - 5:30pm EDT
The Four Holy Creatures in diverse expressions are rooted in traditions from Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, and Persia. They bear the Divine Chariot described by Ezekiel in the Tanakh. As a part of the Western Mysteries, they hold a strong presence in Hermetic Magick. These Four Beings are found in the Tree of Life. A working knowledge of them provides nuanced doorways into a greater mystery. We meet them in numerous arenas including the constellations, alchemy, tarot, the Sphinx, the cardinal directions, and the elements. These are Celestial Powers, a bridge between the unmanifest and manifest. This class will provide you with a greater understanding of who they are and how to utilize them in your work.

The Seven Temples: The Liminal Space of Awakening Your Magick
Thursday March 27, 2025 4:00pm - 5:30pm EDT
Our magick is informed by experience, practice and the ability to integrate and use what is accumulated within our energetic and mundane bodies, and states of consciousness. There are many ways in which we are called to grow and evolve in our magick and spiritual nature, yet we often overlook the innate sacred temple of our being, the Temple of Self. Within this temple reside seven streams of magick and power that are the temples of our awakening and re-membering. These seven temples hold the power of our energetic anatomy, our connections to the cosmic realms, our psyche, and more. Actively awakening them requires that we cross the boundaries of what we believe to be true of ourselves and the relationship we have with the magick and power that is ours to claim. Topics will include: The Four Holy Creatures, our energetic anatomy, the alchemical elements, the fifth elementals, and more. This class will be highly experiential. If you have an amulet, crystal or other small object that you wish to empower, please bring it with you.

The Selkie, the Seal, and the Sea
Thursday March 27, 2025 7:30pm - 9:00pm EDT
Stand on the cliff tops above a seal colony and listen. The seal voices drifting up on the winds sound much like the cries of people. It is, thus, easy to understand how myths of seals transforming into humans arose in so many northern cultures, ancient and modern. Seals, found on every continent of our planet, spend most of their lives at sea, sharing the same waters as fishing boats, competing for the same catch. Hunter, and hunted. This will be an experiential workshop – with story-telling, trancework and conversation around how we can be in better relationship with these gorgeous creatures. In a former life, Raven was a seal-behaviouralist, and seals are beloved to them.

Transforming Metals to Magical Weapons/Tools
Thursday March 27, 2025 7:30pm - 9:00pm EDT
Weapons are not always “sharp pointy things”. Simple, common metal items can become magical weapons as well. We will discuss some magical metal weapons and the gear that is found in various parts of the Irish Lore and mythology. From there, we will talk about ideas, concepts, and applications that can be used today in our magical working. We will talk about the properties of several common metals like copper, brass, and the differences between iron and steel.  We’ll discuss how to be intentional in our work for future use and will brainstorm ideas on how to be creative by adding those things to our magical toolbox. We will explore examples of creating magical tools from everyday, easy to get items. Now is the time to expand your magical toolbox with shiny stuff. If you use any metal in your practice, or want to, this workshop is for you!

Goetia for Beginners – Conjuring the Demon Shax
Thursday March 27, 2025 9:15pm - 10:45pm EDT
Following a brief lecture on Goetia, including its history, theory, and modern practice, I will teach you how to conjure the demon Shax, about whom the Lesser Key of Solomon says “Shax is thought to be faithful and obedient, but is a great liar and will deceive the conjurer unless obliged to enter a magic triangle drawn on the floor. He will then speak marvellously and tell the truth. He knows when lies are told and uses these to teach lessons.” Together, we will oblige him to enter into a triangle, and then request him to teach us further magic. This ritual is safe, easy, and fun. There will be no explicit sexual or violent content, although demons sometimes get a little spicy, and I cannot entirely control what Shax will say. Please do not come to class intoxicated or otherwise out of your right mind.

Thursday March 27, 2025 9:15pm - 10:45pm EDT
The creation of humanoid figures is an act with origins which predates recorded history. Such work aligns us with the art of the gods as conjured by humanity’s earliest imagining, and creates both a conduit for power and an anchor for spirit. In this discussion we will explore the use of the dolls and effigies in various magical traditions throughout history, as well as examine practical ways that we may meaningfully incorporate them into a contemporary practice based upon sound methodology and tradition. We will then explore the deeper realms of this art by discussing techniques and approaches towards employing effigies as spirit houses and devotional objects. And finally, we will conclude by discussing the various materials and methods we might use for the construction of effigies, as well as methods for consecration and enlivening them for magical purposes.

Lunar Mansions: Astrology’s Missing Link
Friday March 28, 2025 1:30pm - 3:15pm EDT
Found only in Vedic astrology, the Lunar Mansions, or “Nakshatras,” are an older zodiac of 27 sections of sky — one for each day in a lunar month — that run “behind” the 12 Sun signs you already know. Each one has a myth, a symbol, and a God associated with it: depending on which Nakshatra your Moon lands in, these three things give you clues to master the dilemmas of your life. The Mansions are also more important than Sun signs in determining relationship compatibility between partners, and they determine longer-term planetary cycles, or Dasas. If the horoscope tells you what karmas are inherent in a chart, the Dasas tell you when those karmas will activate.

Astral Temples, Strongholds, and Way-Stations
Friday March 28, 2025 3:30pm - 5:00pm EDT
Many practitioners from a wide range of systems and traditions speak of using permanent or semi-permanent structures on the astral plane to do rituals or perform other tasks. Often these are called astral temples, though many are not strictly temples, but it is the most prevalent term. Some of these pieces of astral architecture have anchoring points in the physical world, but many are only moored in the astral itself. This workshop will explore the uses of these structures for individual and collective work. I will also give recommendations on how to design and construct astral temples, strongholds, and way-stations. There will also be suggestions on when, why, and how to use them. Lastly, I’ll cover how to take them down when their utility has passed.

What do ancient Egyptians, alchemists, Freemasons, 19th century occultists and tarot card enthusiasts have in common? The belief that the ancient Egyptian god Thoth authored a book containing knowledge so powerful it had to be hidden from ordinary mortals. In the 18th century this idea was expanded to suggest that portions of it were intentionally hidden in tarot card images. Did this book ever exist, and if so, were its secrets hidden in tarot cards? This workshop will explore the god Thoth, the contents of his book(s), and how his wisdom could have ended up in tarot cards. Come discover why 18th-century Freemasons and 19th-century occultists thought Thoth’s ancient wisdom was secretly encoded in the world’s most popular oracle.

The Rite of the Seven Jars
Friday March 28, 2025 7:00pm - 8:30pm EDT
In a myth passed down in the Faery tradition, Melek Ta’us, the Blue God and Peacock Angel, is said to have collected his tears in seven jars and used them to extinguish the fires of Hell. Part trance journey and part ritual, we will open the Western Gate to the Dead, and then journey to the infernal dimension so that we might assist in the purification and release of those souls trapped there, as well as work to heal our own inner demons of guilt, shame, and fear. With magic and compassion, we will transform this darkness into the shining light of freedom for ourselves and the world.

La Huesera Frog Medicine Circle
Friday March 28, 2025 7:00pm - 8:30pm EDT
This Circle was created to bring healing to the scars in the ancestral feminine line. It brings healing to the scars caused by miscarriages, stillbirths, or the loss of babies or small children in our families. This work goes even deeper than that and can also help heal the scars related to abuse that you may carry from your female ancestors. It is a very healing Medicine Circle. Many of us live completely unaware of the weight of the Ancestral Wounds we carry. We carry these wounds at a soul level and they manifest in different ways in our lives. La Huesera’s Frog Medicine Circle is a healing space to gather and heal together, with the aid of the Frog spirit and our ancestors.

In a ceremony facilitated by Lady Jesamyn and the Cista Mystica Priestesses, we shall honor the Moon Mother in Her guise as the Goddess Selene. Under Her loving gaze and with focused Vision, we will reflect upon our own inner Truth, connecting with Her sacred waters and energizing our goals and our intentions for growth. Pareidolia and Using Symmetric Inkblot Prints for Divination
Friday March 28, 2025 7:00pm - 8:30pm EDT
The famous Rorschach test was created by Swiss psychologist, Hermann Rorschach. Rorschach used symmetric inkblot prints in a projective psychological test to analyze subjects’ perceptions. The Rorschach test is a psychometric examination of pareidolia, the tendency to perceive a meaningful interpretation of a stimulus and detect a pattern, object, or meaning from that stimulus. In this class, we will examine why using symmetric inkblot prints in a psychiatric setting is controversial and how using symmetric inkblot prints as a tool for divination can be pure magick! We’ll discuss examples of pareidolia in art and popular culture and how we can use the interpretation of inkblot prints in our own divinatory practices.

Journey to the Center of The Earth: Meeting Death
Friday March 28, 2025 8:45pm - 10:15pm EDT
Embrace the profound mysteries of life and death in this unique ritual experience with Mortellus. Explore the depths of your own existence and discover profound insights that may reshape your perspective on mortality and the journey beyond. Step into the realm of Death under the protection of esteemed author and practitioner Mortellus as they guide participants on a profound ritual journey to commune with the essence of mortality itself. What Should You Bring? Be certain to wear something loose and comfortable that is, if not ritual appropriate, at least funeral appropriate. We’ll spend some time prone, so be certain to bring a mat, blanket, or pillow along if you’d like to have one. If you have accessibility concerns, please reach out to Mortellus ahead of time for accommodations. What To Expect: During this ritual, participants will engage in a carefully crafted series of symbolic actions and guided meditation to the underworld during which you will explore transition, release, and the transformational power of confronting mortality—the very embodiment of Death. Participants are encouraged to approach the experience with openness and reverence, honoring the significance of the journey. • In-Ritual: We’ll begin with ritual preparation and the shedding of worldly attachments to ready you to face the mysteries of Death before Mortellus gently guides you into a state of near death. • Guided Meditation: Embark on a guided meditation led by Mortellus, designed to facilitate your journey into the underworld. • Communion with Death: Experience a profound encounter with Death, which can only be experienced—and never described. • A Return to Life: Be raised from the dead by Mortellus, as you return to the realms of the living. A Little Show and Tell: Mortellus will be bringing along some carbs, because this is a heavy one, and gods know we’ll all need them after this. Who Should Attend: This ritual is for anyone with an interest in spiritual exploration, seekers of wisdom in the face of mortality, and those drawn to rituals that facilitate personal growth and transformation. No prior necromantic ritual experience is necessary, all are welcome to participate with an open heart and mind.

Friday March 28, 2025 8:45pm - 10:15pm EDT
Pollution, mining, and superfund sites are not pretty. But in order to love and heal our Mother Earth fully, we have to be willing to look at and excavate these wounds, so that we can spiritually, energetically, and where possible physically clean them out. We have to love our Mother – not just in her beauty and bounty, but also in her scars and her wounding. In this workshop, we will discuss how to find these wounded places close to where we live. We will explore how to interact safely with the spirits of a wounded place and craft magic and ritual to support their healing. We will also brainstorm ways to blend our magical work with physical clean-up efforts.

Spirit Voices: The Mysteries and Magic of North Asian Shamanism
Friday March 28, 2025 8:45pm - 10:15pm EDT
Anthropologists tell us the word “shaman” derives from Tungus language and traditions, but few understand what that means. We will explore the history and practice of shamanism, and walk through the landscapes of North Asia, and the largely hidden and unfamiliar traditions of Turkic, Mongolic, and Tungusic shamanism, exploring the subtle and unique aspects of each tradition. In this class, we will explore the Indigenous spiritual and shamanic traditions and beliefs of the Turkic, Mongol, and Tungus peoples, a broad cosmology and mythology of these shamanic cultures, the shamanic tools used by these cultures, and practical concepts and methods that can enhance your own practice. Sefer HaOtot (The Book of Seals) is a Hebrew language manuscript of Solomonic pentacles. The specific manuscript we’ll be talking about was written in 1729, copied from older manuscripts. To the best of our knowledge, it was never published, even in Hebrew, and certainly not in an English translation, until our project. In this workshop, we’ll teach you about the text, but we’ll also talk about our personal journey with the text, about the nature of magical translation, interpretation, and illustration, and about what it means to bring a new grimoire into the world. In order to exorcise and protect against the Wayeb— the non-Euclidean time period of the Mayan Calendar (March 25 – March 29, 2025), Solomon Pakal will lead a ritual of expulsion and replacement of temporal dimensional energies. The Mayan solar year will reach its conclusion with the arrival of these five demonic curses. With their departure, a New Year Bearer will be rung in and be petitioned for a healthy rest of the Gregorian calendar year of  2025. Using adapted practices found in modern day Guatemalan highlands and pre-Columbian primary resources, this ritual aims to keep our community safe during this shattered instant and usher in a brighter time for the road ahead. “A Wrinkle in Time” will expand practitioners’ understanding of temporal dimensionality in the craft.

The Temple of Heka: Living Your Magick
Saturday March 29, 2025 10:00am - 11:30am EDT
In more modern use, the term “Heka” has come to be used as another word for “magick”, particularly if your work includes Kemetic overlays. However, to the Ancient Egyptians, Heka had multiple layers of meaning and understanding for those who actively engaged its essence. The principle of Heka flowed through every aspect of mundane/magickal experience and the deep connections of As Above, So Below informed the cosmology of their practice. Using this same intention, Spirit truly informs matter and the place within where the mundane and magickal are opened. That opening becomes the liminal space for communication and guidance from the Higher Self. This ritual uses the underpinnings of Heka as participants walk the path of the elements, claim their name of power, call forth the pranic life force, and awaken the subtle bodies that illuminate Heka within. What to bring: An amulet to empower; ritual robes (if available) and water to hydrate. Please eat lightly before the ritual.

Moving with the Serpent from the Earth to the Stars: A Magical Working to Claim Our Place in the Cosmos
Saturday March 29, 2025 1:30pm - 3:15pm EDT
When we know and claim our rightful place in the world, we comprehend both the gifts we offer and our duty to the world. We are all magical beings. Iron from the stars flows in our blood. We live on planet Earth, and gaze into the sky, guided by the stars. We traverse the astral planes and climb the trees of magic between the realms. By orienting ourselves here on earth, we make the first move to claim our place. Let our bodies move with Serpent energy in order to shed our skins, transform our spirits, and awaken our sovereignty. Let us move out further—together—and find our place in the cosmos, singing our own song to blend with the songs of our siblings as they take their place as well. Claim your place. Offer your gifts. This is an active magical working. The doors will be barred ten minutes into this session.

Our communities are targeted by extremist organizations seeking to recruit members and by antisocial individuals seeking power over others. Additionally, some Pagan groups use holdover practices that are inaccessible or unwelcoming to the very people we are most hoping to help. Explore tools and techniques for increasing accessibility, identifying red flags, building policies that make predation more challenging for those who seek to do harm, conflict resolution, and more.

Exploring the Myths of Avalon: Reclaiming the Legacy of the Holy Isle
Saturday March 29, 2025 1:30pm - 3:15pm EDT
From beyond the mists of time and through the pages of literature, Avalon calls to us. A half-remembered legacy arising from a confluence of history, mythology, and legend, this Otherworldly Island of Apples has nevertheless intrigued and inspired us for almost a thousand years. But what do we really know about Avalon? To answer this question, we will trace the Avalonian Stream of Tradition back to its source, following it as it winds through the landscapes of Arthurian legend, Welsh mythology, Gaulish historical accounts, and lore from Celtic, Germanic, and Greek lands. Then, guided by the mythic map that this work has revealed to us, we will undertake a journey over water to reach the shores of the Holy Island itself.

Folklore and Animism in a Disenchanted World
Saturday March 29, 2025 1:30pm - 3:15pm EDT
The nineteenth and twentieth centuries saw an apparent triumph of materialism and a disenchantment of the average person’s perceptions of the world. With that, folk knowledge and the spirits which were once recognized by the average person fade to obscurity or become the quaint stories and superstitions of the past. At least, this is what we’ve been told. Much of the world still believes in and experiences the uncanny. People relay urban legends and create new folklore because they need to process those things which exist beneath the surface. In this class we will explore how the paranormal, the weird, the pop-cultural, and the creepy lore of the internet may tie into the living and animistic reality of the world.

Sarff Goch Ritual: The Power of the Red Serpent
Saturday March 29, 2025 3:30pm - 5:00pm EDT
Within Welsh folk tradition the term “Sarff/Sarffes Goch” is used to refer to the folkloric Devil. However, literally translated “Sarffes Goch” is the Red Serpent. Serpents are regarded as beings of cunning intelligence, magic, and mystery. Deeply linked with Witchcraft and forms of folk magic, the Sarff Goch acts as a representation of the serpentine currents of the Earth in contemporary forms of Witchcraft and magic. In this ritual we will draw the power of the serpent to us, and metaphorically shed our skin so as to step into an embodied sense of empowerment and security.

Animism in a Heathen Context: The Zusaagpflicht
Saturday March 29, 2025 3:30pm - 5:00pm EDT
Something often glossed over about modern Heathenry is a core belief in animism. Our forebears lived much closer to the land than we generally do. The belief that plants, animals, minerals, and humans all contain Spirit (animism) seems to have always been present in their world. In this class we explore how the Zusaagpflicht can help us get back to balance between the non-human and human peoples that inhabit this realm. This Urglaawisch “Sacred Promise” is easier to fulfill (regardless of spiritual belief) if we expand the 3 R’s beyond “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle” by adding “Re-Think, and Reject”. Then we can begin to truly re-work our position and become better neighbours to our plant, animal, mineral, and aethereal neighbours.

This is a gentle and durable casting that is valuable in and of itself or as an adjunct to other castings or rituals. When invoked, this casting creates a triangular area of stillness wherein the effects of causality and temporal forces are greatly diminished. In relative terms, this means that the force of synchronicity is notably strengthened. It is also a supportive casting for trance states, divine embodiment, healing, and more. After explaining the underpinnings and casting protocol we will experience it.

Music and Movement in Ritual
Saturday March 29, 2025 3:30pm - 5:00pm EDT
Oftentimes in rituals, music is only present in the background to help mask other noises, and physical movement is minimized. However, music and movement can be brought forward to play a more integral role in our rituals, taking center stage rather than being afterthoughts. Music can add dynamic layers; and movement – in the form of ritualized gestures or dance – can help you focus or express your intent in a way that words cannot. In this workshop we will discuss how to center music and movement into your rituals, including: their historical use, the considerations that go into selecting music, and the different ways we can move our bodies (seated or standing) to reflect and enhance our workings.

Reviving the God of Death – Cultivating Magical Power with Saturn
Saturday March 29, 2025 7:00pm - 8:30pm EDT
For the first 4,000 years of astrological and magical practice, adepts worked with Saturn as an initiator into occult mysteries. As the lord of death and the world beyond the veil, he was the go-to planetary deity for cultivating psychic skill and forming relationships with spirits. In this workshop, Merlin will help you discover Saturn as the lord of witches and magicians. Using historical analysis, Ancient Greek translation, hermetic philosophy, and practical examples, he’ll demonstrate the value of working with Saturn as the astral lord of magic. At the end, you will have the opportunity to commune with Saturn directly by making your own Saturn talismans, and to begin cultivating a relationship with the great mage of the seven stars.

Drawing on ancient source texts, he’ll discuss how the Sun was worshiped within ancient Mediterranean mysticism, and its place in our cosmos as a vehicle for ascension into the heavens. The Concept of the Self in the Pre-Christian North
Sunday March 30, 2025 10:00am - 11:30am EDT
Literary and archaeological evidence suggests that Heathens in the pre-Christian era understood themselves and their world in ways quite different from that of most modern Westerners. Specifically, the boundaries between many categories – male and female, human and nonhuman, body and mind, self and not-self – were perceived as far more fluid and porous than is the case in mainstream Western thought. Drawing on both historical evidence and modern anthropology, this class will explore this approach to understanding personal identity and its implications for ritual and magical practice.

The Magical Writer: Three Approaches to Integrating the Power of the Word
Sunday March 30, 2025 10:00am - 11:30am EDT
This workshop, led by three active, published, and magical writers offers three approaches to bringing your magical and writing life into deeper conversation. The power of the word is indisputable and indisputably magic. If the verb “to spell” tickles all your witch-y senses in two ways, this workshop is for you. Speaking and transcribing words, placing words in a particular order, and sharing the texts we create is not just a rote ability—advanced practitioners know that a magical sensibility breathes special life, vision, and presence into language; via our language choices we influence, create, change, understand, observe, record, preserve, cherish, celebrate, honor, perform, make space, identify, and revise. In light of this power, many cultures viewed poets as prophets and poetry as the voice of the Gods. This workshop delves into the ways that magic, the magical life, and writing entwine and inform one another. Magical Writer One: We all know that witches write spells, but a witch who writes can weave magic with their very words. As a professional scientific writer by day, and a creative writer by night, this presenter will discuss the immense power and responsibility that we have as witches when we put our words – any words – to paper. Magical Writer Two: This speaker is an educator who finds solace in writing historical fantasy seeped in mythology and folklore. The presenter will talk about the connection between writing and the divine, including potential techniques for linking writing and spiritual practices, and experiences with writing deities as fictional characters.
