In magical communities today discussions surrounding “The Fae” can easily turn into heated discourse. During this workshop we will examine not only the traditional Fairy beliefs native to the Celtic nation that is Wales, but we will also explore the intersection between such beliefs and operative forms of magic. In Welsh tradition, the line between ‘fairy’ and ‘familiar spirit’ is sometimes blurred, and so what role should fairies play in our magical practices today?

Join Katrina Messenger, Wendy Mata, Irene Glasse, and JR Mascaro for a panel discussion about building pagan community, moderated by Ron Padrón. Panelists will share insights from founding and running a variety of cross-pagan communities both large and small, in-person and online. This discussion will share challenges, lessons learned, best practices, and solutions ranging from the mundane to the esoteric to the technological that can help build and sustain these communities.
