Chants and Chanting: The What’s, Why’s, and How-to’s
Thursday March 27, 2025 4:00pm - 5:30pm EDT
Have you ever had an earworm? How about a melody that just came to you and you can’t help but hum it as you go about your mundane life? If so, you can write your own chants! And if not, no big deal! Anyone, musician or not, can write their own chants. This workshop will show you the basic mechanics of writing chants for ritual or meditation. You will come away with a chant of your very own and one that was written by the group. Come prepared with a cell phone and pen/paper.

Trauma Awareness in Modern Polytheism
Thursday March 27, 2025 7:30pm - 9:00pm EDT
Ninety percent of people will experience at least one traumatic event in their lifetime. It is likely that one-third of US adults have experienced religious trauma at some point in their lifetime. People seek out spiritual community for connection, safety, and support. Instead, many have traumatic experiences that have lasting impacts on their well-being. This presentation will examine the prevalence of trauma and the ways that it shows up in modern polytheist communities. It will include guidance on how to create trauma-conscious devotional practices, rituals, and community spaces.

Bloodsong: Legacy of the Mitochondrial Mothers
Thursday March 27, 2025 9:15pm - 10:45pm EDT
Hidden within each of us, microscopic treasures sing a genetic melody that links us, womb to womb to womb, through thousands of generations of mothers, back to one woman who is the mother of us all. Her powerful legacy is inherited on a cellular level through the blood of our sacred matrilineal ancestors. In this workshop, Cairelle will lead a collective journey into the land of divine maternal genealogy with an exploration of DNA basics and instruction on how to discover one’s personal mitochondrial lineage and its healing magic. Through guided visualization, attendees will climb the Phylogenetic Tree of Mothers and connect with their memories and wisdom. The workshop will end with a ceremony to honor all lineages.
